What's inside the walls???

Ok, so this week's house update: Nothing new on the outside, other than brick being delivered. It wasn't exactly what David and I were expecting, but I think it will go very well with the stone. LOTs of stuff is going on inside the house. This week, the plumbing and gas lines were done, the bath tubs/shower pans were installed, and the ever important air conditioning system and duct work was completed. Also, they tar papered the roof, so I'm guessing we'll be getting shingles next week. I'm told that they'll do electrical and cable this week, and then it will be a waiting game until the inspections are done. May 13th is the date scheduled to start drywalling the house.

My BIG bathtub!!! hehe...

The A/C unit and duct work. It's amazing all the stuff you don't see that makes your house work!

This was the best shot of the plumbing within the walls....it's our laundry room.

Oh yeah...and the fireplace was also installed.

It looks like a house!

It's absolutely amazing what they can do in one week! David and I went to the house today, and it is really taking shape. We can see every room and imagine what the finished product will look like. According to our schedule of events, it might be another week or so before inspections can take place. Then we'll get dry wall, and the masonry will begin. We're so excited!

Game Room and a glimpse of the Guest Bedroom through the wall.

I will LOVE my huge bath tub once it's done!

Our Master Bedroom is beautiful with all these widows.

The Back Porch is so peaceful! With a greenbelt behind us, we're lucky to hear the sounds of nature and enjoy a nice breeze.

Framing

April 12th

A slab!

This was April 5th

In the beginning there were trees...

...and then there were none.

Finally Convinced

Ok, Ok....So Jackie finally convinced me to start a blog. Not a whole lot going on in our simple lives, except of course for having a house built.
