I've had several people ask me lately how Bert and Erni are getting along. Well...for the most part they don't bother each other, but when they end up in the same room together, the fur flies. Bert is actually REALLY good about it all. He tries to be gentle (as gentle as a 55lb puppy can be) when he sees Erni, but it's Erni that gets all flustered. Erni just needs to learn how to relax and let Bert get to know him without swatting and growling at him. It can be somewhat entertaining, though, watching an orange furball running around the house closely followed by a not-so-graceful black pup. To be fair to Erni, however, this is the first time in his life that he's not had our constant attention. Erni mainly lives upstairs since Bert can't get up there because of the baby gate. (David had to protect his precious pool table from a certain curious puppy's teeth.) Anyway...here's a picture of a very rare moment when the two of them are within 5 feet of each other, but aren't arguing.
