Baby T

I went in for a Nuchal Translucency Scan this morning, which is an ultrasound/blood test to measure for risks of Down's Syndrome and other Trisomy genetic disorders. All of the measurements were within normal limits, but we need to wait about a week for the blood results (but at my age and no family history, there's not much of a chance that anything would show up).

Baby T was squirming around nearly the entire 30 minute scan. He/she was twisting and turning and jumping back like he/she wanted to do a back flip. Maybe we have a little gymnast in the making to take after Grandpa Curry. He/she was about 3 inches in length crown to rump, and had a strong heartbeat at 176 beats per minute.

I have another appointment on February 6th, to hopefully find out the gender. I think we're all eagarly anticipating this day so we can start the shopping spree!

You can see my eyes, nose and mouth here...I was in the middle of executing a back handspring with a triple twist.

Uh oh....I'm already sucking my thumb!

It's nap time now...See you again in 4 weeks! Maybe I won't be bashful, and you can find out if I'm a little boy or girl...???
